Ever taken a photo of your meal at a restaurant ? With Foodspotting, you can use this image to recommend restaurants, cafes and even specific meals to friends. For instance, I am going to London for the week end to a neighborhood I don’t know, say Chelsea. I wake up with a serious craving for cheesecake. Do I succumb to the first one I come across? No. I just pick up my smartphone and I go to Foodspotting, a website and application that allows you to search for any dish or restaurant nearby. I see that Youri recommends the Chelsea Quarter Cafe Cheesecake, which so happens to be a mere 300 meters away, and I’m happily on my way to my mid-morning indulgence. Foodspotting allows users to share and view recommendations of dishes and eateries through photographs using geolocalisation to guide you to your desires, guaranteeing delicious new discoveries.
