Pearltrees is a curation site, that organize informations on the web. Its free service allows users to combine various and varied information, found on the net in their previous web sessions (blogs, photos, videos, tweets, …). Users organize their content and form of “pearls” that can be shared between members to create “trees”. The idea is based on the trend of “crowd-sourcing” which is to retrieve information from what people love most, to provide the best the web has to offer. Pearltrees is a communitary search engine, an alternative to traditional search engines, and a new organization of the Internet.
