After realizing he was applying US top-selling sunscreen on his daughter’s face without really knowing what it was made of, Dara O’Rourke, a professor of environmental and labor policy at the University of California, Berkeley decided to check the ingredients that made this lotion. Several products proved to be carcinogenic, two were recognized as skin irritant and a last one as endoctrinian pertubator. Horrified by his findings, he decided to stop believing what was said by the different marketers. To warn the world about the danger that surrounds us daily and hidden by our society, Dara O’Rourke’s answer was to create GoodGuide. The application will allow you to use your smartphone to scan the various products in-store and get a fact sheet on the product with its ratings on three essential criteria, the product’s impact on health, environment and society
